Release Management Cockpit

General

The Release Management Cockpit (RM Cockpit) is an Add-On from Cross Connector 5.

The RM Cockpit provides an overview of the tickets and their transports. It is available in all defined CC5 projects. It can be accessed via the Add-ons dropdown in the Jira projects.

The following information are displayed in the RM Cockpit:

  • Transport Source (Dev system)

  • CTS Project

  • Transport Request Number

  • Transport Type

  • Transport Owner

  • Transport Status

  • Description

  • Jira Issue Key

  • Customer Action

  • Info

 

Actions

Various actions are available in the RM Cockpit as in the CC5 area. The following actions are available at the top of the RM Cockpit:

  • Release

  • Delete

  • Decouple

  • Import

  • Customer Action

In order to release transports via the RM Cockpit follow the steps:

  1. Select the transports you want to release.

  2. Click on the Release Button.

  3. A pop up opens with all selected transports. Click on confirm if you want to release them.

After the confirmation the transports will be released. The following message will be displayed.

In order to delete transports via the RM Cockpit follow the steps:

  1. Select the transports you want to delete.

  2. Click on the Delete Button.

  3. A pop up opens with all selected transports. Click on confirm if you want to delete them.

After the confirmation the transports will be deleted.

In order to decouple transports via the RM Cockpit follow the steps:

  1. Select the transports you want to decouple.

  2. Click on the Decouple Button.

  3. A pop up opens with all selected transports. Click on confirm if you want to decouple them.

After the confirmation the transports will be decoupled.

In order to import transports via the RM Cockpit follow the steps:

  1. Select the transports you want to import

  2. Click on the import Button

  1. A pop up opens with all selected transports and the import options. Select the import system, your needed import options and click on “Import Transport” if you want to import them.

After the confirmation the transports will be imported. The following message will be displayed.

In order to execute a customer action via the RM Cockpit follow the steps:

  1. Select the transports where you want to execute the customer action.

  2. Click on the Customer Action Button.

  3. A pop up opens. Select the customer action.

  4. Click on confirm if you want to execute the customer action for the transports.

After the confirmation the action will be executed.

Search

A JQL search is available in the RM Cockpit. Your JQL commands can be entered in this search and the RM Cockpit filters the tickets accordingly.

Filter

The RM Cockpit offers the option of filtering according to various criteria. The criterias are based on the columns information. Certain values can be entered in the filters and the RM Cockpit filters the tickets accordingly.

Example:

You want to select all transports that are released. Enter the status name in the filter criteria “Status”. The RM Cockpit will display all transports in the status “Released”.
