The Connection Settings is the section of the configuration that defines how the Jira System will connect to SAP Solution Manager. In order to achieve this, define a connection by navigating to Connection Settings and select edit.

Description

Description of your Connection Profile.

This is freely definable.

SolMan Url

Url to SAP Solution Manager.

Jump In Url

Url to jump in to a Transport Request. If you are not using a proxy or similar to access to SolMan, enter the SolMan Url again.

System ID

The ID of the system in which the tickets should be created.

SAP Client

Specify the client of the Solution Manager system in which the tickets should be created.

SAP Language

Specify the language of the Solution Manager system in which the tickets should be created.

User

SAP User ID of the synchronization user that will be used to establish the connection.

Password

Password of the synchronization user.

 

After you saved and created your connection profile, it will appear on the list.

Connection Parameters

In some cases, for instance when a proxy system is used, Jira may need to provide share additional information to the servers in order to start the communication process with SAP Solution Manager. This information could be passed to the Requests as a HEADER or URL parameter.

Check Connection

You can check if your connection could be successfully stablished by clicking the Check button. If the connection was successful, then you should see a message like this.
