Add Internal Note in Jira Service Management Project

This article shows the configuration that is required to create internal notes in a ticket within a Jira Service Management project from SAP Solution Manager.

Set Up on Jira side

There is no special configuration needed for the synchronization of internal notes.

Set Up on SAP side

  1. Select the respective Configuration Profile → Action Definition & Connection Settings

  2. Select the scenario Update/Outbound → Attribute Definition & Payload Mapping

  3. To create internal notes in a service management project, the following expression must be included in SAP customizing for the respective attribute:
    /update/comment[@/add/properties[@key='sd.public.comment']/value/internal=true]/add/body
