Transport Upload and Transfer is not working because of missing authorities

Issue:

You are using the transport request upload or import feature in a landscape with multiple domain controllers and multiple transport directories without domain link. You are facing error messages when executing upload or import. You can find these error messages in STMS Alert Monitor.

Root Cause:

The file upload and file synchronization of a transport request is using the TMSADM destination, if available. The user being used here has the needed authorities. However this destination is only available if the system being accessed is belonging the the domain controller of the managing system or if a domain link is existing.

If this is not the case, the import destination is being used instead. The rfc destination and user differs depending on the used managing system scenario (SAP Solution Manager or Domain Controller). The user used here does usually not have the authorities needed to access (read or write) the transport directory. That is why the upload/import is failing with an authority error.

Action:

Please add the missing authorities to the importing user in your managed systems if not already done.

Please try pfcg roles SAP_CM_MANAGED_OPERATOR or SAP_BC_CTS_ADMIN.
